Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 July 2026
Welcome to Design by Karina.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain how our services work and form the agreement between you ("Client", "you", or "your") and Design by Karina, operated by Karina Paviotti ("Design by Karina", "we", "our", or "us").
By purchasing The Capsule or any other service through our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not purchase our services.

2. The Capsule
The Capsule is a professionally designed one-page website created using the Design by Karina Framework.
The Capsule is not a downloadable template and is not a DIY website builder. It is a complete, individually adapted website, designed, built and launched for your business.
3. The Design by Karina Framework
Every Capsule is built using the Design by Karina Framework, a strategic website structure developed through years of designing websites for small businesses.
Rather than starting every project from a blank canvas, we begin with this proven foundation and adapt it to your business. This allows us to offer a significantly lower price while maintaining the same design principles, user experience and strategic thinking found in our custom projects.
4. What's included
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, every Capsule includes the following.
Website. One professionally built one-page website based on one of the Design by Karina Framework layouts available at the time of purchase. The specific layout is selected by you from the collection available when the order is placed. Layouts released after your purchase are not included (see Section 15).
Design adaptation. The Design by Karina Framework is adapted to your business by applying your logo, your brand colours, your typography (or typography selected by us if none is provided), your images, your written content, and section visibility where supported by the selected framework. While colours, typography, images and content are personalised, the overall layout, structure and user flow remain based on the selected framework. In other words, The Capsule is an adaptation of a proven framework, not a fully bespoke design created from scratch.
Content implementation. We place the content you provide into the website, including headings, paragraphs, buttons, contact information, images and links. Minor spelling mistakes and obvious typographical errors may be corrected where appropriate. Copywriting, rewriting or restructuring your content is not included.
Responsive optimisation. Every Capsule is optimised for desktop, tablet and mobile devices before delivery.
Basic on-page SEO. Each Capsule includes basic on-page SEO setup: page title, meta description, image alt text, and a clean heading hierarchy. Basic SEO does not include keyword research, content optimisation or ongoing SEO services.
Domain connection. We connect one existing domain to your website before launch. You are responsible for owning the domain and providing the necessary access.
One revision round. See Section 10.
Launch. After your approval, we connect your domain and publish your website.
Framer tutorial. You'll receive a short video showing how to edit text and images inside Framer.
5. What's not included
Unless specifically purchased as an additional service, The Capsule does not include:
Branding or logo design
Copywriting
E-commerce
Booking systems
Membership systems
Additional pages
Advanced SEO
Ongoing maintenance
Hosting (see Section 9)
Domain registration
Third-party software subscriptions
Additional revision rounds
6. What happens after purchase
After purchasing The Capsule, you'll receive:
an order confirmation
confirmation of your reserved production week
instructions for the next steps
your Content Kit before production begins
your kickoff meeting invitation
We'll guide you through everything we need from you well before your production week begins.
7. Production weeks
The Capsule is delivered through scheduled production weeks. When purchasing, you'll reserve one of our available production weeks.
Production weeks are scheduled to begin after the statutory 14-day withdrawal period has ended (see Section 13). Before your production week begins, we'll provide clear guidance on everything we need to complete your website successfully.
Provided all requested materials are received before your scheduled production week, your website will be designed, built and prepared for launch during that production period. Delivery dates are estimates and may change where circumstances outside our reasonable control occur.
8. Client responsibilities
Before your production week begins, you agree to provide:
your written website content
logo files
photographs (if applicable)
brand colours (if available)
domain information and access to DNS settings where required
an invitation to your Framer workspace
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, all materials you provide. You remain responsible for ensuring that your website content is accurate, lawful and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
We do not verify legal claims, pricing, business information or regulatory compliance contained in your website content. Responsibility for the accuracy and lawfulness of that content remains with you.
If we do not receive all required materials before the agreed deadline, we may need to move your project to the next available production week.
9. Framer subscription
The Capsule is built inside your own Framer workspace. The website remains fully yours. However, because it is built in Framer, an active Framer subscription is required if you wish to continue publishing the website online.
If the Framer subscription expires, is cancelled or downgraded below the required plan, the website may no longer be published or function as intended. Framer subscription fees are paid directly to Framer and are not included in the Capsule price.
10. Revisions
Every Capsule includes one revision round before launch. After we present the completed website, you'll have the opportunity to review it and send one consolidated list of revision requests.
The included revision round is intended for refining the completed website before launch. This may include correcting text, replacing images, adjusting spacing or making small design refinements within the agreed scope. It does not include redesigning sections, changing the selected framework or requesting additional functionality.
Once these revisions have been completed and you approve the website for launch, the project is considered complete. Any changes requested after approval, or after the website has been launched, are considered new work and may be quoted separately.
11. Out of scope
Requests that significantly change the approved project, require additional pages, new functionality or a different framework are outside the original scope and may require a separate quotation.
12. Pricing and payment
The current Capsule price is displayed on our website.
Prices shown to consumers include VAT. Prices shown to business clients may be displayed excluding VAT, with applicable VAT calculated and added at checkout where required.
Payment is required in full when reserving your production week. Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Your production week is only reserved after successful payment.
13. Cancellation and right of withdrawal
Consumers. If you are purchasing as a consumer (outside a business or professional activity), you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. If you withdraw within this period, you will receive a full refund. Because our production weeks are scheduled to begin only after this 14-day period has ended, work on your website will not have started while your withdrawal right is still in effect. To withdraw, contact us at hello@designbykarina.com; you may use the model withdrawal form, but this is not required.
After the 14-day withdrawal period has ended, the reserved production week is considered booked exclusively for your project and the purchase becomes non-refundable.
14. Intellectual property
The Design by Karina Framework, including its layouts, structure, components, design system, methods, documentation and workflows, remains the intellectual property of Design by Karina.
Once your project has been completed and paid in full, you receive a perpetual licence to use your completed website for your own business.
You may not:
resell the framework or layout
distribute or share the framework
claim the framework as your own work
use the framework to create competing templates or website products
reproduce or commercialise the Design by Karina Framework, in whole or in part
This restriction does not apply to your own logo, text, photographs or other content you supply, which remains yours.
15. Future framework updates
Design by Karina may update, improve or discontinue Framework layouts over time.
Purchasing a Capsule gives access only to the framework version and layouts available at the time of purchase. Future framework updates, redesigns or newly released layouts are not included unless expressly stated.
16. Third-party services
Your website may rely on third-party providers including Framer, Stripe, Tally, Cal.com, domain registrars and hosting providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for interruptions, outages or pricing changes caused by third-party providers.
17. Portfolio
Unless you request otherwise, we may display your completed website in our portfolio, on social media and in marketing materials. You may opt out of portfolio use by notifying us in writing before launch.
18. Limitation of liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and professional skill. However, we cannot guarantee specific business outcomes, including search engine rankings, enquiries, sales, bookings, revenue or advertising performance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the relevant project. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.
19. Privacy
Your personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you acknowledge that your information may be processed for the purpose of providing our services, managing payments and complying with legal obligations.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction required by applicable Dutch law. Where you purchase as a consumer, you retain the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
21. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, or would simply like to speak with us before purchasing, we'd be happy to help.
